About Us

My name is Abbie Hammarstrom and I am a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience working with moms and babies in the postpartum and labor and delivery settings receiving my BSN from Rutgers School of Nursing. I received my International Board Certified Lactation Consultant,(IBCLC) over 5 years ago, but have always assisted moms with breastfeeding after they delivered their new baby(ies).

When I work with my moms and their babies, I bring with me my years of experience as well as my personal experience. I have three beautiful daughters of my own and I know the challenges that come along with bringing home a new baby as well as trying to nourish them throughout your breastfeeding journey. Whether your goal is to exclusively breastfeed, combo feed, relactate, increase supply, return to work, pumping, weaning……. I am here to support and provide you with all the resources and knowledge to make your experience with breastfeeding as easy and smooth as possible.

I received my nursing degree from Rutgers and began working in the hospital setting quickly after I graduated. Within a year I transitioned over to working with Mom’s and babies and continue to this day working per diem in a hospital setting. I work full time as a school nurse in a K-5 elementary school and I continue to grow my love for helping Moms and Babies through their breastfeeding journey.

I continue to increase my knowledge through continuing education and to provide you with the most up to date and accurate information.
